Event Type: Lecture and Book Signing
Join us on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 – 7:00pm at the Watertown Library (map) for a book talk and signing with author Joe McGee who will be presenting Leadership Lessons Inspired By A 6 Year Old – a leadership book based on a call center environment. This book speaks about the relationships of raising children and how they turn into valuable lessons of how to properly raise a team in the workplace.
The talk will cover a few sections of the book including:
- Chapter Two: Avoid Tunnel Vision – This covers that sometimes simplicity is best and often overlooked. The answers are often in front of your nose.
- Chapter Three: LTA principle and “The Pearl Necklace.” Learn how to instill confidence and become the subject matter expert.
- Chapter Five: Show and Tell is a must: Why it’s important to use objects to emphasize points
After the conclusion of the speaking event, Joe will be offering a book raffle, book signing, and a Q&A with attendees.

Local Authors Get Together
Saturday, March 25, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
This event will be held at the Lucy Robin Welles Library in Newington, CT. Meet Joe McGee and other local authors for discussions and book sales.
Calling all local authors and anyone interested in writing, illustrating, self-publishing or the process. We will have many authors in to talk about their books and their journey to get them published. Writers of adult, teen, and children’s fiction will be in attendance, as well as authors of non-fiction, including self-help, poetry and cooking. There will be introductions and then time to talk with authors speed dating-style regarding the process. We will conclude with a book signing. Books will be available for purchase.
